Venkatesh Gummadi, also known as Venky, is a seasoned data science and engineering leader with over 10 years of relevant experience. He currently works as a Mentor for Data Science at Scaler Academy, where he guides and mentors aspiring data scientists. Venky has an impressive professional background, having worked with some of the top companies in the industry. He previously worked as the Head of Data Science and Analytics at Credit Saison, where he led a team of data scientists and engineers. Prior to that, he worked as a Consultant/Advisor for startups, where he helped in the design and development of MVPs across various domains, including health, finance, and design. One of Venky's notable achievements is leading a team of 10 data scientists and engineers in building an Automated Forecasting platform equipped with state-of-the-art Forecasting techniques like ARIMA, ETS, Prophet, RNNs, etc. He provided design and architecture for the platform, which was a significant contribution to the industry. Additionally, Venky worked on a POC on Speech processing for Medical reports using open source tools like CMU Sphinx, Deep speech, Kaldi, and Facebook’s Wave2Letter. Venky holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. He is well-versed in various technologies, including Data Science, AI, ML, Research Scientist, Microservices, Data Engineering, RabbitMQ, Backend, and Senior Software Engineering.
